steel. Steels tanks are built to Underwriters' Laboratories specifications and meet NFPA 30 & 30A and UFC
fire regulations. Steel tanks are single or double-wall for secondary containment. Tanks can be cylindrical or
rectangular and include generator tanks, skid tanks, biodiesel tanks, vertical tanks, horizontal tanks,
fireguard tanks, and can be built to your custom specifications.
Today our company president is Patrick W. Kennedy, the grandson of William E. Kennedy, Sr. Pat also serves
as president of Kennedy Tank in Indianapolis, IN and Steel Tank & Fabricating Corporation (STAFCO)
in Columbia City, IN - both Kennedy owned companies like Southern Tank. Our customer base includes
chemical facilities, government agencies, bulk petroleum plants, fleet fueling sites, lube oil blending and storage
facilities, maintenance garages, farming operations, bio-diesel and ethanol plants, and many others. Additionally,
we've expanded from being a "regional" company to a manufacturer with customers all over the world.
We've shipped our products to companies in Canada, Puerto Rico, China, the Grand Caymans, Brazil,
Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and of course, all across the United States.
