• POLYBUTENE AS PESTICIDE Sticky Polybutene Materials -Sticky polybutene materials are applied directly on the trunk of young or topworked trees where the treated area is exposed to the sun, using a 6- to 18-inch wrap under the sticky material to protect the tree from sunburn. Caution is used in applying multiple applications to prevent symptoms of bark cracking. Growers can reactivate the sticky material periodically by rubbing with a stick to remove dust.
• A MULTIFUNCTIONAL ADDITIVE FOR UNSTABE CLAY - This series of products are polycationic organic polymers / quaternary ammonium compounds specifically formulated in aqueous medium. These are freely soluble in water. Sufficiently stable in presence of divalent metal ions, chlorides and sulfates commonly found in formation fluids. The hydrophilic and anionic nature of the clay surface is rended hydrophobic by the charge neutralization and then by preventing the swelling and caving in into the well.
